Chef Nate Limwong was born in Suratthani a culturally rich in Southern Thai cuisine and also known for its fresh seafood. She has been in the forefront of the culinary art world for decades. Having worked in three different continents (Asia, Australia, and North America), She has learned and mastered her skills in a way like no other. She has also mastered her skills in different cuisines such as French and Chinese. Coming to these days, She would love to return and celebrate her root that is Southern Thai cuisine where she grew up loving and cooking.
Having lived in NYC for less than a decade, She had played the head chef of the success behind some of the famous Thai restaurants in NYC.
Returning back and celebrating her root of Southern Thai cuisine would mean elevating southern local Thai tastes to the world-class NYC culinary platform. She would like to pioneer and dedicate Chalong as the first Southern Thai focus restaurant in NYC. Anyone who has been to the South of Thailand and has tasted the real freshness of spices and fresh seafood will reminisce their wonderful memory of Thailand.
